GREAT NEWS!

The Skillman Foundation is pleased to make a grant of $12,500 to Girls Rock Detroit as part of the President’s Youth Council (PYC) grantmaking initiative. The PYC identifies issues that are most important to Detroit youth and advises the Foundation on how it can best support education and economic opportunities for young Detroiters.

The grant was recommended by Ryan Mallory, council member, who had this to say about your organization: “I chose Girls Rock Detroit as my PYC grant because I feel very passionate about music and the arts. I know how  beneficial to the growth and characterization they are to young students. Also, I believe that everyone should have access to music just as I have.”
