What is We Rock Detroit Camp?

Do you wish you had a program like Girls Rock Detroit when you were younger? Well then, We Rock Detroit Camp is for YOU. We welcome women (cis or trans), transgender folks of any identity, and gender-expansive folks ages 18 & up. Join us for a mini camp that consists of instrument instruction, songwriting, and band practice. No previous musical experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided.

We are proud that We Rock Detroit offers an inclusive, welcoming, and safe space for our adults to learn new skills and express themselves surrounded by their peers’ support.

In one exciting weekend, women ages 18 and older receive:

• Band practice

• Workshops

• All the hard work leads to a fun final showcase concert!

Instrument Instruction

We offer guitar, bass, drum, keyboard and vocal instruction. All experience levels are welcome. Instruction is held in small groups and led by experienced, enthusiastic female musicians​.

Camper Showcase

At the showcase, each band will perform their original songs on stage for their friends and family, experiencing what it is like to play in a professional setting at a prominent Detroit music venue.
